Not gonna lie…kind of obsessed with Micaela Erlanger at the moment. (The one in the middle.)
And I’m obsessed with Micaela because I’m super obsessed with Lupita Nyong’o. (If you don’t know she’s the one on the left, I don’t want anything to do with you.)
Lulu has been KILLING IT pretty much every time she appears in public, so when I read that Micaela is her stylist, I was like, “Oh my gawd you got skills let me follow you on every social media platform there is kthanksbye.”
And not long after that, I learned she also works with Michelle Dockery. (The one in the middle, below. You know, “Downton Abbey.”) And suddenly her superior red carpet game made sense.
I must admit, Peter Pilotto wasn’t on my radar until Kerry wore this fab frock –from the label’s Spring 2013 collection– during the “Django Unchained” press tour.
There’s a lot going on, but it all seems to work somehow.
Yes, I’m always that articulate.
Considering a Peter Pilotto dress can cost upward of $1K, I was super excited to hear that the London-based label was teaming up with Target for a capsule collection featuring women’s clothing, accessories and swimwear. Prices range from $14.99 to $79.99.
When the collection was released yesterday, I immediately snapped this up:
Now I’m impatiently waiting for it to arrive on my doorstep.
On the Peter Pilotto aesthetic (per a Target press release):
"Our brand is about print, yes, but it’s also about the emotional feeling you can get from color and color combinations."
For Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos (the duo behind Peter Pilotto), 2014 is already off to a pretty great start. In addition to the Target partnership, they took home the British Fashion Council/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund award last month.
The Peter Pilotto for Target collection is available in stores and online through March 26. You can shop the collection (or what’s left of it) HERE.
